Fuse amperage

I should be able to find it, but...haven't yet.

Can someone tell me the proper amperage for the two fuses which go in the Bugeye fuse block?

Thanks,

Pretty sure they're both 35 amp Lucas fuses, someone will need to confirm -- you may already know this, but these look like the fuses you can buy at the local parts store, but are rated VERY differently.

Thanks Drew,

A good page to save to my technicaL specs / useful Spridget stuff File.A 150 page word file of trivia I've saved over the years.

As Drew's chart says- use 20 amp fuses (US rating) and you will be fine.

Please see my note on using an inline fuse holder with a small rated fuse to test wiring harness rather than relying on those 20 Amp fuses to blow before the smoke comes out of the harness.

Thanks! Good advice on using an inline fuse holder with a small rated fuse.....will do it.

Fuses are much cheaper than letting the smole out of the wiring harness.

For the second time this evening I'll suggest my write-up on the subject of fuses:

There's really no absolute answer as to what value to use, as the electrical load in your car may be a lot different from what the electrical system was designed for. The suggested 20 amps is probably OK as long as you haven't added a lot of electrical stuff. If you have, you probably should add more fuses.
