Been meaning to post this story for a few months... last fall when I was getting ready to put my Hot Rod Model A away for the winter at my friends garage a buddy of his came over to check it out as he had recently bought his own Model A project (don't worry I'm getting to the British Car part of the story), this guys wife is there rolling her eyes at her husband saying "if it was up to me I would have an MG"... I perk up & ask "what kind of MG", she smiles & reply's "a Midget, just like my friend had in highschool, we had so much fun in that car, every time we would finish classes we would have to walk around the parking lot to find out where the guys had picked it up & moved it on us"...
I just had a gut feeling & said "let me guess your friends name was Brenda?" she looks at me dumbfounded & reply's "yes, how in the world did you know that" I smile & proceed to tell her that I own the exact car she is talking about & show her the picture below from my wedding back in 2013, by that night I have tracked "Brenda" down on facebook & she shared the pictures below when she owned it (in the 1980's) - so cool to see it with the correct sidetrim & now I know where the Triumph seats came from - Brenda installed them (I have since replaced with proper seats) - the owner after Brenda was the one who restored in the early 1990's apparently it was quite a "heap" when he got it, just fun to make the connection, Brendas friend wants to buy the car off me in a bad way... but I love my 67, might let the 74 go but not my 67

oh, the stories these cars would tell if they could talk...

Lets see pix of your Hot Rod Model A too

Jer, great story and great to hear from you as well! Is your snow gone up there?

Kurt.

Love places like the Soo - where cars and their owners (especially previous) manage to stick close to one another - not sure that could happen in many other places.

Great story - and great to hear from you - how is the bambino?

Okay  - My 1st year with the Model A roadworthy (after being parked for 44 years) was a good season  On the cover & 8 page feature in Canadian Hot Rods, Top "185 Traditional Hot Rods" on Hot Rod.com & a mention on HOP UP.com and a couple other mentions, people seem to appreciate my efforts to preserve this piece of Hot Rodding History.

Snow is well on it's way out, roads are bare & bare spots in the yard, basically snowbanks/piles left, very early spring for us  Which means early driving season as well

Bambino is great, she turned 2 just before Christmas, tearing around & babbling all the time, she's a riot

I'm not huge into hot rods, but that Model A is sweet! It is very understated for a hot rod, but still very identifiable as one (if that makes any sense)

I don't think there's ever a time where someone doesn't come up to me with a story about a Midget or Sprite any time I take the care out. For those whose lives these little cars have touched, the impression left is indelible.

Jer, you've got some fantastic connections with your cars. It's been fun following your adventures with Snewpee over on the HAMB.

Really neat connection with the '67 as well. Good stuff.
