Could be many things. Have you checked for fuel at the carbs and for spark in stalled condition?

That's good thought but usually I'll sit for a moment then it starts and runs fine and fly home in case it happens again. It will sit an idle with not stalling until I take it out and put some acceleration on it. Thanks

How about the fuel filter...one that's ready for renewal can make an engine act like that.

I just put a new gas filter in ,the plug wires are new ,points, condenser, new rotor and distribution cap.The car runs really strong except for the stalling episodes. I see gas in the filter do you think I am getting enough pressure from the pump when I try to accelerate .I would be going along great then it start sputtering and sometimes recover and be back to normal. Thanks

If there is enough pressure to keep some gas in the float chamber, it's adequate pressure.
I did have a pump that seemed to work sporadically making it hard to diagnose...Finally after changing all the ignition related components to no avail, I put on my spare AC fuel pump and that proved to be the cure...
Maybe that's the answer.

Thanks for the input I think I'll get a new pump to eliminate that as the possible problem ,unfortunately I do not have a back up. Thanks

I just went out to start the 6 ,fired up great, let it idle for a bit shut it down put my ear to the fuel pump and heard gurgling noises coming from it is that normal or what? I'm thinking no. I already put my order in to Moss for a new pump hope that does the trick. Thanks

It was actually very distinct. Thanks for all the help I'll post my findings after the new pump is installed.

Is the problem worse when the fuel tank is low and not as much of problem when the tank is full? How about going up hill being worse versus going downhill? If so, every time I have seen those situations in a TR250 or TR6, it was a fuel pump that was on the way out.

It does seem to be less when the tank is full. Thanks, the new pump should arrive this Friday, I'm 99% it's going to solve the problem.
