TR6 Fuel line and Foley catheter blockage

Someone posted here recently about an intermittent fuel problem. The car would go for a time, then stop and eventually resume, only to keep repeating. I just got out of the hospital after 7 days caused by complications from a kidney stone. I was fitted with a catheter ( don't ask me to go through it again) and sent home with 2 stents in place and the stone still there awaiting further surgery to remove. Without going into the gory details, I underwent 36 hours of excruciating pain caused by the catheter being blocked by blood clots. Apparently despite the clog, some fluid did get through thus temporarily relieving the pain. I was too stupid to realize there was a problem - just though that was the way it was, not realizing that the catheter was supposed to drain 24/7. Now there is absolutely no difference between a fuel line and your urinary tract. This isn't rocket science. I'm convinced that the poster's fuel problem was the same as my catheter drain - enough fuel would sneak through to run for a short time at which point the filter would clog again and the cycle would be repeated. I have to go back in next week to get the stone out for good.

BTDT, exact same circumstances, 25 years ago. Now I understand the miracle of morphine!
Best of luck on your recovery!

Thanks, guys. My operation is scheduled for March 25th. I can't tolerate morphine, codeine, etc. It's Tylenol or nothing...

I take it your stone(s) were to tough for ESWL or laser to bust?
PD, That does not sound fun at all.
i take it your Urologist is going to do it the old fashion way (percutaneous)?
or are you going to let them have another go at you with the ureteroscope?

Bless you PD. Hope all goes well this time!

scope and laser. It's way down and lodged kinda sideways 5 x 8 mm. According to the doc, its been in there a l-o-n-g time.
On the whole, I'd rather be laying under a Triumph looking for a grease fitting...
