Pat...if nothing else you could do side job photography for Ebay scammers....

Bruce...wadidya decide. My opinion it's a natural on the Spridgets...they should've put it on as standard...on the jag-e I can literally climb into the engine bay...only time it is an issue is if I need to work up by the radiator as the bumber does hit ground...but jack the front up a little...pull a couple pins and the hood on the jag swings WAY open...

Guys, that is what it is, hmmm Nasa, two pins thru the posts and an extension on the bonnet lip. Lined up, with a pin.

Ohhh sorry for the pics!

Me wish I had some techno time to draw or a compu/cam for a better pic, but if you need some more info, I will gladly provide, maybe push BE outside for better pics, please let me know, but as I have told you this is custom for a camel food bonnet.

I just wanted to give some ideas, and do not send any camels here my friends. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif

Well, returning to readable pictures and the task at hand, (and the thread!), the solution in the first picture, <span style="color: #CC0000">(Spitfire hardware)</span> and the <span style="color: #CC0000">Sebring Sprite </span>(Custom?) are the best looking in the bunch! The final pic, with the spring setup is closest to what I have as far as utility, but with the rubber "T" set-up and placed on the bonnet approx. where the two I like (<span style="color: #CC0000">above</span>).

Mike:

ahemmm, Why show???? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif Keep the lines? And let the monster hide? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Hummmm

I don't currently have a good, clear picture (old camera /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif ), but mine seems to hold the hood alignment a little better, holding as it does!(forward adj.- all alignment of bonnet is done at the hinge! - IS a bit off in this old pic!)

Aye Pat. what length worked?

One note of caution to those thinking of installing a front-tilting bonnet. Unless you have a perfectly shaped bonnet and pivot points, and install any hardware you have perfectly, you may end up fouling the geometry of the bonnet-to-body fit when you install.

I bought a speedwell tilt unit and installed, just like it said on the directions. AYE! My attach points were slightly off (not perfectly square--but pretty close). Even this small amount of misalignment gave me problems...with the rationale being if a line is slighty off at the starting point, by the time you go out 4 feet, it has swung out a significant amount.

I needed to do a lot of work to have it close properly--I'm glad I did it now, but it was a hassle. Just my thoughts.

I am in the process of installing my new Sprigtech bonnet using the front tilt kit (with bumpers).I was looking at a front tilt at the ABFM in Bellevue WA. last weekend and I did take some pictures of the hold downs fasteners. They are ZUS fasteners (1/4 turn fasteners) from JEGS. That is what I plan to do, but ordered a catalog from JEGS so I can see what matching brackets I need. It looked very nice and clean. Not sure how the pics. turned out, but will check and post if anyone is interested.

I will try for the pictures this evening. In the mean time, go to JEGS and order their catalog, then you can see what you need. That is what I did. No catalog yet.

Paul...where did you get your front tilt kit that lets you use the bumper?

Think it was mini mania that had that one.
