That is just all engine. I'd want to drive it with just that frame, at least for a while... :grin:
 
We hit a snag with the rear housing. Now it's all fixed up and back in the shop.

Huge milestone reached today. Jeff stepped up the plate and knocked it out out of the park building the chassis and getting the Frogette rolling.

IT looks gorgeous and scary at the same time. The power to weight ratio must be incredible.

Funny how we call it power to weight ratio, but the way we talk about it is pounds per horsepower. In other words, we always think of it as 10 lbs to 1 hp rather than 1 horsepower to 10 pounds. With this car, makes little difference. It's going to be tons of hp to not a lot of lbs.
 
Looking at that short driveshaft, I'm wondering why you didn't do an irs?
It certainly doesn't appear to be for lack of engineering or fabrication skills.

Cost. With so little wheel travel we opted for the solid rear end, and put the saved funds toward styling up the front arms. If it would have been a dedicated track car, we probably would have went IRS. Had to draw the line somewhere!
 
Are you going to have doors that open or just climb in? Great work!

wow looks like what about a 12 14 inch drive shaft and a tranny in your armpit.
make a sturdy tunnel. That's some serious made to fit car.
