TR4/4A Free [yes, free] TR4 available in Michigan

I also tried getting a hold of him...no luck, sent multiple emails but no responses /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I am glad to hear that the TR4 is going to a good home, and glad to hear that I could help someone else get what would appear to be a decent candidate for restoration if not use as parts.

Certainly, anything is better than the fate it was going to suffer if noone took it off his hands.

Cheers,

Jim.

No done deals as of yet...

Whoohoo, good news! I received an email today from Jerry stating to come pick her up after the 11th. Thanx Jim!

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gifMy buddy picked it up today. It survived the 45 mile trip on a dolley to my Mom's house. He said the rockers were pretty much gone. What does he know, he's into Corvaires... For all I know the motor wasn't in the trunk!/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Anywhoo, no pictures as of yet, just thought I'd continue the thread.

Good luck with the project. I hope it ends well for you.

And, Just wondering, are you brave enough to keep the records to shows waht a "free" car can actually cost? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazyeyes.gif

I will give you a total at some point. My TR250 was given to me. So far I think I have spent about $1400. However, I sold the Panasports the car came with for $400, so my real total is about $1000.....

I'm glad someone picked it up. In an amazing display of restraint, I made no effort to pursue it. Which is good, as it's only about 25 miles from me, and I could have had it home in 2 hours.

I was talking to my buddy who picked it up today. I found out it's titled as a '63 and has CT14319L for a vin. I haven't seen any pictures of the car other than the attachment. His wife had the camera on the day he moved it, and well my Mom still lives in the '70's as far as technology goes... so no pix. I'm hoping to get one of her neighbors to ship me a couple. Intresting note, my buddy said on the drive home the rear qtr panel seperated from the front and across the top and was only being held on by "something around or near" the tailight. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nonod.gif He also said the seats were pretty good, but couldn't figure out how they stayed in the car...Sounds a bit rusty... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well looks like you've got an adventure ahead of you...good luck...

Zack
