You always get this lowball quotes of what someone thinks a car is worth and really I think it is meaningless for the most part. If someone rings my phone today and just wants a crankshaft core for a 1275, it's $150.00, they bring over $100 on ebay most of the time, I just sold a Mini block and crank yesterday for $300. Say the Midget has solid floors and the guy wants $500 for it and there's one down the street with rust everywhere and someone wants $100 for it, if you're going to restore, which one is the bargain. I get cheap cars from time to time, even get free one every once in while, got a free just a few weeks ago, have not went and even picked it yet and if someone beats me to it, fine. I once had a customer wanting to build a Midget race car, a guy in NC offer us a choice of three tubs he had sand blasted for free, but the truth of it all was all three were rusted to pieces, no floors even present, rocker boxes with holes in them, for this guy to pay me to fix one of those car would have been expensive, so free wasn't really a bargian for our project. In the meantime we heard of a guy also in NC who had parted out a Midget, that had a great rust free body he had snadblasted and shot with primer, he wanted $500 for it, that's one we got and it literally saved my customer a few thousand dollars. The same guy called me later with another Midget tub, just the tub, rust free, blasted in primer, same deal $500, I didn't even blink a eye and went and got it, it been sitting in my home garge on cement blocks for like 3 years now. I fiquire whats a couple hundred dollars in a good solid tub that I will turn into a $30K racer. The real answer to your question Janel, is what is it worth to you.
For you bargain hunters, I have a 73 round tub Midget tub, a week away from the crusher, it's free to whomever wants to come get it.
