Hey, who let JB in the Triumph section? Walt, I thought you were watching the door, did she bribe you to get in or something? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif Seriously though, this isn't the time to start slinging MG vs Triumph comments, especially ones with barbs. I'm sure the MG folks are equally aware of whats going on as we are, and are equally concerned. If they wish to express that concern through a thread in their own section they will, otherwise I'm sure you'll all agree that they would be welcome to join our discussion in this section.
I'm a relative newcomer here also, but I can say this board has the greatest group of people on it of any internet community I've been a part of. Initially I joined BCF to get help with questions about my TR6 and expand my knowledge of LBC's in general, but I ended up getting far more. In addition to the polite nature and mature attitudes around here there is a real sense of family among many of the members, and this is something that is both rare and precious in public forums, especially car oriented ones. I would also gladly step up with membership dues but I agree with some others that money is most likely not the issue here. If I had more technical knowledge I'd volunteer to help run this thing as a few others have, but I haven't even figured out how to publish my own web page yet. I was thinking that perhaps Bas could split the responsibility of running this place among himself and 2 or 3 knowledgable volunteers. He could sort of manage it but yet not have to dedicate 100% of his time to it.
I would really hate to see this place disappear, BCF has become an integral part of my day to day activities and would be sorely missed. If Bas does decide to close up shop I won't be happy but I'll understand, and thank him for almost a year of great conversation, help, and fun.
