Eye issue redux...

Today I was the lucky recipient of ANOTHER CryoLaser retina welding procedure. It involves needles in the eye...

I'm now akin to a bear with a sore butt.

A MYOPIC bear.

Anybody wanna play tag? :madder:

Doc sorry to hear that you had yet another procedure. Get well soon!
When I was in my 20's I got some metal in my eye. They tried getting it out with a magnetic instrument but unfortunately it was non-ferrous. I too underwent the needle in the eye in order to remove it... ouch!

Left peeper has a scleral buckle already. This procedure was to preclude the same for the right one. If it weren't MY eyes this was happenin' to I'd be fascinated by the whole thing.

As it is, I'm just mildly PO'd.

I like to show ~THIS~ little 10 second flick to my students to get them to wear safety glasses.

Hope you have a speedy recovery...eye problems are no fun.

This weren't due to lack of protection. Somefin' 'bout "genetics"...

I begin to hate my progenitors.

...but only slightly.

Good luck with the eye surgery, Doc. Sounds like the sawbones did a good job on the other one, so this one will be a winner, too.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery . . .

Oh, Doc - sorry to hear that - nothing worse than something irritating the eye! :frown: Hope it all works out quickly...

Had to have it done again last Friday... retinal surgeon called it a "touchup". feh. It HURT the same as the last one. Swelling and discomfort are now on the downhill side. And I can SEE. All good.

I now seem to be craving carrots, tho.
