I bought a set of brass expansion plugs for my TR6 but ruined one of the 1 1/2 inch guys, so I ordered a single one of those (for the front of the block). However, it is not as deep as the other plugs. The block is close to 3/8 thick right there and all the other 1 1/2 plugs were about .3445 front to back versus .1995 for the skinny one. Two questions:
1. why does stuff like this happen? (be nice)
2. should I go ahead and use it or look for a deeper one like the others - although I don't know where I'd find it with Moss and VB, etc., closed right now.
My temptation is to go ahead and press it in there with some Permatex #1 (80007) hard drying gasket sealant.
