Back home from our 1500 trip to the Rendezvous in Eugene. Healeys came form all over. A couple from Florida. Lots of fun. Great tech talks and rides. The coast is totally beautiful and a great ride home. I met some of the BCF members for the first time. Ried took a gold (of course, if you ever saw his 100).

Well, I snapped as many pics as I could, but I think the count was over 100 cars so obviously I wasn't able to capture them all. May I suggest you post your Rendezvous pictures including your bj8 so that you're represented and others can enjoy them?

Great pictures!... thanks for sharing. Wished I was there!!... just couldn't get my car done in time! It looks like I will get it done in time for the Galena Conclave.

Cheers,
Steve

thanks Steve! I hope others who attended will share their pics because it was really tough to get shots of every car. By the way I really enjoy looking at your project- you're making great progress!

Ha ha...no nothing against originality. It just seems that modified Healeys have somehow found their way into my garage/back-yard more often than original cars. It started with my 240z powered bn4 which my dad bought in Coburg, Oregon for $500. Then I sank a bunch of money into it and drove it throughout high school in Eugene, and toured reliably with it a number of times in AHCO tours.
All of my Healeys had the motor swaps performed by previous owners...and although I didn't grow up in the 50's/60's it must have been a popular thing to do given the number of Modified Healeys running around. It seems I'm also a sucker for neglected cars which no one else wants! I may swap a 3000 motor into my vette-powered bn6 (I have a bare 29D block and crank but am slowly collecting parts- need pistons, rods, cam, head, etc). And if I could find a 100-4 motor to replace my pinto drivetrain in the bn2 I would gladly do it...so keep your eyes peeled for me! BTW your car looks great- I love the Dunlop wheels.
