Engine weight

I don't have the number handy, but it is comfortably under 500 pounds, which is the smallest engine hoist you'll find.

Based on the fact that I can just barely pick up a bare TR3 block, I'd guess it's around 300 pounds loaded.
 
My TR3A engine weighted 411 pounds (including flywheel and clutch) without distributor, sump, fan, oil filter, oil and water. I have also the figures of all the single parts, if someone needs them.

I still suggest a 4 leg engine stand. I have had the 3 leg ones fall over when torqueing bolts. Scary! Jerry
