Electric Upgrades of All Sizes

Electric classic cars

Not sure what's going to pass in any final infrastructure bill in the next year or so, but there is a big allocation for new postal delivery trucks included for now, with an ancient fleet possibly being replaced by electrical vehicles, which might work in the city, but y'all may be right to stick with ICE vehicles for rural deliveries, or as they do here in the South a lot of rural delivery folks use their own vehicles.

Exactly my thoughts. For local, neighborhood runs, the electric may be fine, altho' less efficient battery-wise in cold weather. For anything else, we'll need *lots* of quick charge stations, and better batteries. Imagine a parking of 1000 cars, each with its own charger - doubtful it'll ever be supported. Or as a BCF member said, he drove to Lake Tahoe, and saw a big charging station. Each charger had about ten cars lined up, waiting for their turn. And each turn took an hour.

I don't know if anyone has seen the FrogE built by the Bugeyeguy. Seems to outperform a regular Bugeye, except in range. One thing that helps is replacing the transmission with the electric motor.
