Anthony, I have to keep checking the body designations too. The BN4 was a 6 cylinder, the first 100/6. Still a 100, but a six, not a 3000 yet. the way I remember it is in a kind of multiple of '6'. If I pretend that the first 'Austin Healey 100' was in '53, actually the first one wasn't delivered to the USA till '53, then for about 3 years it was the 4 cylinder cars (BN1s &BN2s). Then in '56 it was the first 6 cyl cars, the 100/6s,(earliest designation BN4) then about 3 years later in '59 it was the 3000s. Now '59 to '63 was more than 3 years but close, then the BJ8 which I consider to be the epitome of the final evolution. I hope I've done a good job of confusing everything.
