i just purchased an overdrive from an early mg. it does not have a shift lever. moss lists one for the od and one for the regular unit. my mg mechanic says they are interchangeable.
I think the distance from the pivot to the ball at the bottom is a different length. I have seen them used in early o/d boxes. Worth checking into. Maybe a call to Moss tech line is in order? Good find getting a mk 1 overdrive!
