Jason is bidding on it...can only hope that it does not fall prey to a V8 conversion. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/pukeface.gif

Mentone is just down the road from me - I'd be glad to drive over & take it for a spin.....

That's a 1600 Kent-powered car too....my favorite engine for these cars.

I dunno, the TR6 powered cars are not bad either. In another life I restored a lot of TVRs, and had a chance to do two of the V8 vixen bodied cars. OH WOW!!!! As rude and crude as TVRs are, those cars were rocket sleds that actually cornered. I put a lot of miles on one of those cars, and I can tell ya, nobody ever wanted to street race that car. EVER. When we finished the car, the owner went out with me on a road test. He was leaving traffic lights in third gear, not first. When I got him to select first, and stand on it, it scared him so badly that he sold the car. David Gerald TVR bought it, and shipped it off to england. Too bad. All that said, it would be a lot of work to convert it properly. The V8s used a salisbury diff out of a Jag, and driveshafts and half shafts are similarly beefed up.

The problem is that it is not that hard to make this into a Tuscan clone. There are many more Griffiths and Tuscans out in the world now than where ever produced. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/iagree.gifYou are correct about the rocket ship ride that you get out of a V8 powered car...get in, sit down, shut up and hold on! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

Very pretty... Hmmmm I just paid off my truck today. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

That Kent can be wicked fast when tuned-up.

Anyone who replaces that engine should be flogged. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nonono.gif

I think my Bro is getting something like 125 hp. out of his now.

Dang thing pulls almost as hard as his stock 67 GTO....Not Kidding!

Have to ask what rear end ratio he has.
Wasn't aware that there were different gearbox ratios as well.

I know he had to put a Quaife in it, so he could get the power to the ground. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif
(Running 205 Falken Azenith tyres)

Sold for $12,600.00

About right for a Vixen in fantastic cond.

I'm now wondering about ebay finance... Hmmmmmmm. I saw a semi-nice looking Deorean go for about the same money a few months ago. I'm suddenly obsessed with deloreans for some reason, and want one badly.

I'll give you a good deal on this one.

As in "outta the woodwork".?

I'm getting better at racing....
Soon I think, I'll be ready to step up to a faster car.
The spec. racer Ford looks like a really cool class.

Just missed a Fairthorpe Electron (Climax Powered) on E-Bay.
One of about a dozen on the planet.
I would have done that one and waited on the SRF....Rats!

(15 thousand for a car in boxes......I must be out of my bloody mind) /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
