Ok I've dodged the issue long enough. But between a heavy workload, personal/family issues and the highly demanding darling from Stuttgart, I’ve neglected PAGAN long enough.
So this upcoming weekend – I’m eager to dive in & finish off some of the B’s projects that’ve been sitting on the shelf for the past year or so.
Yesterday I dropped off the O/D tranny I picked up on Ebay last year to have it checked out & serviced before. Tech recommended that I replace the front & rear seals and will make sure the solenoid works too (it did last I checked) and I’ve got a brand new HD clutch kit ready too. Anyway other than that everything looks good & but we won’t really know until we drop it in.
The other long awaited project is the Moss Motors EFI kit that I’ve had sitting on my shelf for the past year too. I did an inventory of everything last night and am chomping at the bit to dig into that. I’ve also got a Mallory Duel Point Dizzy & a PerTronix Ignitor electronics ignition upgrade too.
Oh well, over the next week or so I should have regular updates as I get up to my eyeballs in these long awaited upgrades.
EFI should make improve the drivability, responsiveness and see some marginal performance gains over the old ZS setup. It should also make visits to the Smog testing station much less painful. In fact with the EFI kit comes the buypassing of the EGR valve (CARB legal) so I might consider removing the restrictive manifold. All of that and the O/D transmission will make cruising at highway speeds much more enjoyable. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif
