Drove my B for the first time today!

How much do you want for a set?

Contact me off-bbs - PK is fine as I catch them....

E-mail answered.

yeah its huge...and I was thinking about going smaller but my wife was afraid we'd look like a bigger parking lot at home than we already do. at least she dosen't have a problem not having a vehicle to drive...In a week or so we're gutting our kitchen so our motorhome will be at the house so we'll have a kitchen. That will mean a couple of cars will have to be relocated to the shop.

Man the problems you have Jack. I just need a garage expander, no room for a lift. If I could just push the walls out a bit, sigh. No place to do it.

I know, that's why I want the Spax kit. I have a nickname for this particular conversion, but I can't post it here...

You don't want any front tube shock kit that uses the original shock as the upper "arm"! & the Spax kit will make the car ride like a wagon!

Just to clarify, the PO installed these shocks. Would it be prohibitively expensive to convert it back to the factory Armstrong shocks?

" D*** th' torpedoes!..." Put it back to the way it was designed, and add the swaybar. That "rig" is a "DPO dodge" fer sure... Not trying to be cruel or demeaning here, just want ya to find the "Wa" of the car. The way it looks from the photos, the last owner went all "Dee-troit" and bodged it royally. You'll have a better LBC experience by starting with the original setup and "trimming" it in a more traditional style, IMO. Lowering it to CB (chrome bumper) spec's and adding suspension bits as per design will keep it easier to own/maintain and cost less in money and aggro in the long run.

Didn't mean to spout off, but needed to send my opinion in any case.

Don't feel bad by any means, I hate it as well! Anyone know how to convert the car back from tube shocks? I decided that I will order the negative camber a-arms to mount the swaybar. I was looking at new tires as well, those Pirelli P77s are looking a bit tired. Tire Rack has some Sumitomo HTR 200s for $41 apiece in P280/75/R14. Are these decent tires?

Gosh... Sumi's are sticky... there are as many opinions on tires as there are stars inna sky. Wait 'til a number of folk have "vented" in this thread afore ya go spend cash. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

BTW: Where in NE Ohio are ya?

Mentor/Painesville area. I want some stickier tires...with no radio to sing along with I need SOMETHING to keep me occupied whilst motoring. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

mehheh... I wuz gonna add: You ain't from Painesville, are ya?!?!

...i've a house in G-O-T-L. There used to be a great LBC parts house near Mentor, BTW.

I've got good used front shocks & the A-arms you need as well as the sway bar....if you're interested, contact me off-BBS.

Next time you're in the area, shoot me a PM. There's plenty of twisty bits in my general area.

Did you have your red Elan at the NCTA show a couple weeks back?
