very cool! Though, i imagine you'd have to use that with a press that has a strong vise. I can't see using it with a hand drill ...
 
It is neat but since they already had to drill a pre-hole I think that it would be easier,faster and cheaper to just go ahead and broach the square hole.

That's exactly what I thought. However,if you needed a blind hole, then the broach wouldn't work.
 
Simple answer- don't design-in blind holes!! :smile:
(or- that is what my machinists keep telling me!!)

But them I'll need square bolts and nuts! Where am I gonna get a square tap from? :square:
