Speaking of the bonnet, what is the proper method to install it?
 
Find some friends to install. You need at least 3 people not to scratch the paint if Rear Hinged.
 
That's coming along really nice. A great inspiration to those of use just starting the restoration process.
 
"Finley" did such a good job on the doors, I'd let him install the bonnet. :jester:

Unfortunately, I found that out the hard way that you need at least two people even with the later Square Sprite hoods. :(

If there is a bright side, it is that the car has older paint and will be getting a respray down the road.
 
I use a block and tackle I made up from some old sailing hardware that I use to install the bonnet by myself. A center rope coming from a rafter splits into two ropes that connect to eye bolts in the fender where fender mounted mirrors once were installed. My bonnet is front hinged and nice easier to get on and off.
