I replaced the entire rear end on my '74 B with a rebuilt differential (quantum), Low mileage GT springs (I know some of you don't agree), polybushings, brakes, shocks, u-bolts the whole nine yards. The problems I noticed before I changed it were that the left Tire was rubbing and it was twitching when I let off on the gas. The other thing I noticed before the removal was that my left tire was closer to the edge of the wheel well than the right. I assumed that this would go away with the re-install. The car does not seem to have been in a rear end collision and appears to be all original.
After swapping it out, no more tire rub. No twitching and the car handles great. The problem still is that the rear is too far over the left still. about 1/2".
Has anyone ever heard of this and is there anything that can be done to shift it back over to center?
