Deep Freeze

Currently with the wind chill it is 2*F here. Can you say COLD :eeek:

It's only 15.4* here in Kentucky. Supposed to reach a high of 29* by next Friday!!

NC predicted to experience the coldest winter in recorded history, so I hear.

Low tonight here will be 14.

A toss-up here... 34*F is ~predicted~ but it could be lower. My pepper plants are in pots, so will survive.

Th' rest are on th' "wheel"

...it could get stinky 'round here soon.

Time for socks and big boy pants.

-33 F last night. Should only get to -15 of so tonight though.

-33?!?!?!? woohoo! That makes our 10 deg look flat out balmy! Keep warm out there. I'd be better if the wind would die off a touch. Man is it nippy! Poor Dog nearly froze to the ground when I let him out earlier. had to break off that yellow icecicle. hehehehehehehe

It may sound silly, but, when it's sunny and around 15 degrees or so, you will see people out and about in shorts and regular shirts.

Thanks for the Birthday Greeting Basil..

I just let the dogs out and checked the thermometer -8 degrees @ 12:15. Can't be good...

During the snow storm someone drove over the fire hydrant in front of our fire station. The water was 6" deep in our equipment bays. Had to lay out 400' of 1-3/4" hose around the parking lot to supply the station with water from the next hydrant. I just finished trenching through 3 feet of banked ice and snow to recover the hose today. Time for an adult beverage and a shower.

Makes our 36 sound like spring.

10 PM here and I'm comfortable outside with just socks on my feet.

44* here at 1am, with it forecast to continue downward to a predicted 37*...not quite freezing, but definitely NOT what we are accustomed to about these parts!! :eeek:
