Deep Freeze

Up around 62 this afternoon - had all the windows open. Perfect!

They're saying the ocean temp is in the 50s, I need to find time to dip my toes in it. The last time I was in the Atlantic when it was in the 50s was up in Maine.

Whacked at 70 here, same behavior with th' hovel. Passed on stickin' me toes inna Gulf tho.

Just got back from four days at Myrtle Beach. Upper 20's to lower 40's, not too bad out of the wind. No toe dippin' though. Ocean like a lake. Good change of pace for us. Happy dance.

Well, after I pruned the fruit trees, I took a nice, long nap!

Right at 60 here, went for a ride. Might be getting sick as I haven't felt warm in a few days...and that's with the temp comming up. Took a bath in "chic hot" water. You know, the way your wife likes it but scalds you alive !!! Had the hot turn ALL the way up and it felt so-so. First time I've EVER done that. Couldn't beleieve I didn't turn red and peel easily. Feeling better now. Still not 100% yet. Had the hot turned down a bit more tonight. Looks like tommorrow with be the last nice ride day for a few here. Spent most of the day ruining jambalaya. Anybody up for mushy rice with a crispy center?!?!?!?!?! (forgot to bring to a boil before adding rice).

I like how Tampa warmed back up after I left... hah!

Mid 60s here again - went to the beach for a couple of minutes, water was cool.

50's here today...actually felt good outside going through some boxes of Corvette parts.

High of 56° here today in Kentucky.

And to think, a mere weeks or so ago we broke a record high for the day since 1948! The old record was 86* and the new one is 90*. We have been AVERAGING 48* for the past three days now! THAT is CHILLY for south Florida!! This is one heck of a polar express!!
Get used to extreme variability like that. It'll be the norm from now on. :frown:

Just out of curiosity, with all the toys you have, why a Vette for a DD?

A better question would be: why not?

TORQUE baby!

Yeah but you can put a V8 in a B. Hopefully, one day, I'll put an aluminium headed 302 in a B.

I'm just curious out of all the LBC stuff he has, why a Vette? Nothing wrong with it, it's just suprised me, that's all.

Just wondering if it's on of those, "I used to have one", "I always wanted one", "My buddy used to have one". You know, the usual.

There's gotta be a story behind it.

I just got tired of working on MG's & one day was driving down the road & spotted this forlorn, old 'vette & thought, "What the H...." & towed it home!

It is a blast to work on - even easier than our MG's but totally different...

Oh, I have a V8 to go in one of my MG's but the 'vette will have TORQUE!! & my Rover V8 is not stock - it is Glenn Towry built (300hp)!

)!

..I hope you paid for it! :jester:

Kelly's ex bought a really nice '76. I didn't care much for them until that car. I enjoyed driving it. Coulda got an '86 at the auction w/ a blown motor and crack windshield for $1700, but I already had too many would-be projects on my list.
