Exactly, great for dark places, even under sinks and such.
 
Nice work. I've got to find one of those period light for my GT....and a switch like that too.
 
The switch is a regular old Lucas 2-way from a Mark I dashboard. You can buy them for $15 with the hex nut and everything. The lamp I can't help you on because I've never seen another one.
