Dayton or Dunlop Wire Wheels ??? What is best

I found these amazing easy to install myself. By hand. I'm 55 years old, and weigh about 150#, so clearly, brute strength isn't a requirement.

I did have to enlist a local tire shop to seat a couple of the beads, as my compressor just didn't supply the volume of air required.

I bought two (2) each 18" & 30" tire irons, but I only used the 18" pair, and they did not require any sweating to get the last bit of tire past the rim lip.

I worked from the backside, with the fronts on a couple layers of carpet pads.

Piece of cake, and ZERO DAMAGE to the brand new chrome wheels, or myself.

Randy, when I get a rim that doesn't want to seal,I take a length of nylon rope&loop the ends,place in center of tire, grab a large screw-driver or tire-iron slip it under rope& twist. When center goes in,usually beads will seal.cheers Genos2

Yep, when that didn't work, I loaded 'em up in the black car and beat a path to the Tireman, about three (3) minutes away :wink:
