Datsun 5 speed

Thanks for the great comments guys, it does help! As far as LBCs go, I've really had the wind knocked out of me and don't know what to do. My mind started inventorying everything last night and put every part in the restored or used catagory and the amount of time and effort that has gone into these projects is staggering. There are plenty of hard to find parts, new parts and unobtanium parts that are gone forever for the Bugeye, MGB, 2 TR4as, and TR6 and I don't know if I have it in me to start over. My wife is so sick about the loss that she wants to pack up and move so we can be closer to our kids and grandchildren. She collapsed on our neighbors lawn crying her heart out while everything burned, it was gut wrenching and nothing I could do stopped the tears.
I know not to make any decisions while we are stressed out and I'll try to be as objective as I can, but it is really working on me and Jo. Tomorrow is a day of thanks and we have plenty to be thankful for and I can't wait for our family to get here...hope they don't make fun of my singed hair and soot tinged body!

So sorry for your loss. Glad to hear that everyone is safe and that the house didn't burn with it.

Sorry Dude. I hope you stick with us and keep LBCs in your life. you've been a great friend here and hopefully we can help you rebuild in some way.

When you're ready, you know that we will all help any way we can.

Rut, So sorry to hear about your loss. Were the BE and MGB in the Garage as well. You said you lost the TR-'s. God what a kick in the head. I had a similar thing happen with my house with a bad ground wire. Lightning strike knocked things out in the neighborhood. Power came back on and the lightning strike somewhere else on the street burned through the Ground Wire from the Pole to my house. Power came on and we had the brightest bulbs you can imagine in the house. I got my VOM and measured 187 volts. Spike cost me 4 TV's, Microwave, Computer and Routers, anything electric got toasted when the power came back on. Sad and sorry for your loss. All that effort. Gone. Glad you and family are all ok.
