I have had an ongoing problem with a 24 year old Delta shower valve. I decided to call support at Delta expecting the worst. Within a minute I was talking to a human. This service rep was pleasent from the start. It turns out the valve I have was only made for a short time and is discontinued. I didn't have a part number to begin with but through a series of questions she was able to determine what I had.
When she couldn't figure out the part I was talking about she asked if I would mind holding while she looked further. Within 3 minutes she was back with enough info to give me a part number for the defective part and ask if I would like her to email me a diagram.
This was a welcome change from all the horror stories about customer service and talking to computors. Maybe there is hope for big business if they employ people like Alyssa and allow them to do their jobs.
Thanks for listening, Ernie
