Just a reminder for those in New England that the show is on Sunday at Harkness State Park in Waterford, CT.

The forecast is improving and it looks like 80 degrees with sun until late evening, when we'll all be at home.

Paul - thanks for putting the reminder here again. I posted it on the MGExperience site about a week ago; was surprised no one there even knew about the event.

Hi Folks;

Looks like a Nice Show: Hope the Brit Sun Gods are with You!

We too have one in Clinton, NJ; "The Red Mill": Real Nice Show and I`m Pre-Registered ($20.00); So, If it does Rain; No TR4 but I surely will bring My "Mazda MPV Van": Can`t get it on the Grounds but thats OK:

Have a Ton of Fun;

Regards, Russ

Great pictures. I hope you remember your camera on Sunday, too!

- I'm registered to go. Weather permitting, will be driving down from RI in the TR6...my first show/outing in it. I am trying to get the Mrs. to drive the Spitfire as well but if there is a sniff of damp in the air she won't let her baby out of the garage.

- Being a relatively newbie TR6 owner I'm looking forward to meeting some of you old hands, putting names to faces and discussing some minor issues I have with it. Maybe they are not even issues...it might just be the way the TR6 is!

- Paul, are you driving straight down I95, or taking the longer scenic route down route 1? I like your optimistic weather forecast...can't find anything like it on the local tv/radio/interweb...but I hope you're right!

Greenie,

Since I'm leaving from north of Providence and my wife is not a morning person on weekends, we'll be coming down 95. The trip home will probably be designed to avoid beach traffic if the weather is sunny. Which I'm sure it will be!!

I just talked to Steve, who is in charge of registrations and he said that the weather forecast is" pretty darned good" for tomorrow.

There is a food vendor with dogs, burgers, smoothies, etc., so no one should go hungry although I always pack an extra sandwich so I don't embarrass myself by going to the food stand too many times.

See you all there!!!!

And bring your cameras. We need some faces to start a "Rogue's Gallery" on this site.

Well, once again, the highly paid forecasters aren't even close. I've been up since 5:15AM and it's been pouring here since and it doesn't look much better for the balance of the day.

I don't want to drive 85 miles to turn around and drive back in the rain again, so we're going to pass on this one.

I hope all who attend beat the weather and have a great day!

We're still hoping to go. No sign of rain in the middle of RI....yet!

I know that a band went through the northern section where I live, but the Doppler doesn't look too good for the balance of the day on the entire east coast.

Oh, BTW, the band that now shows red and yellow over us is finally correct.

Hey Paul,

Looks like that thunderstorm band is just over you. CT coast forecast is for mostly cloudy sky's - 30% chance of scattered showers this afternoon - no heavy rain until tonight. Wonder if they see that tropical swirl heading our way? We're leaving at 9:00 AM, no TR3 /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cryin.gif, ETA 10:30 AM.

It's still drizzling up here, so I'm going to bag the trip. I guess we'll all have to meet in Manchester or one of the other events later ths summer.

Some pics of the show. I have 101, Guess I got a little excited. Of course Kodanja was not at his car both times I cruised by. As usual it looked like rain all day but didn't! Glad I went!

The proof to Basil that we did Indeed wear our colors!

Harry sorry we kept missing you , I do have some great shots of your car! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

The CT. MG Club really puts on a classy show and this was the 20th anniversary!

(no sign of rain here, Could have been the no rain chant that did it.) /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/savewave.gif

Was a good turnout dispite the weather.
There were 3 times as many TR6's this year than last.

So many Beautiful Little British Machines in one place!

I went kinda nutz Taking pitcures , Got over 300 shots.
I'll post a few after I've had a chance to up load & resize them.
Maby I just set up a link for viewing in photobucket.

BTW Crypty was mentioned several times in the TR community~~!

GREAT DAY!

Congratulations to Bill on his 3rd place finish!

I think that I know the car from Lincoln, RI from the BMCNE events.

Harry, the shirts look great. I just realized that I ordered all XXL's (cause I'm a porker!) and didn't order Maureen a small, so I was doing some quick explaining when she saw you and your lovely wife together in the picture. That's weird, because I have a matching shirt or hat for her from every club that we belong to. Tough getting old and now Basil is out of them, so I'm in even deeper.

I'll fly the BCF shirt at the Cape next weekend, providing it doesn't rain and she can wear the TR6 abstract art shirt or my BCF hat.

Fantastic photos-
Thanks for sharing the adventure.

Greenie,

That's a nice looking TR6 that you have there. Are you going to the Heritage European Car Show in Sandwich next weekend?

https://www.capecodbritishcarclub.org/index.html

This club is a really nice (mixed) group and very active all summer long. My wife really enjoys all of the gals who are piston heads too!
