Wow!! Four months on jack stands being repaired
with a half hour drive in between breakdowns.

Complete new fuel delivery system from intake manifold
to fuel tank and everything in between. Plus a fuel pump
backup system installed for emergencies.

For me- a major accomplishment this afternoon. Crypty
off jacks, cranked right up, brakes worked just fine, new
fuel system tuned to purrfection and I drove a total of 2.8
miles around the neighborhood with nothing falling off,
breaking apart, crunching, overheating or simply breaking
down. Folks in the hood all waved as I sped by in first gear
doing 10 mph. Hit 2nd once or twice for show off.

I'm thinking real serious like.....maybe I was driving
Amos today?? Something to think about.

Blessings of gratitude and thanks go out to a few special
folks who made today possible. Paul R, David K, Don K,
Banjo, Shawn, David G, Jeff Palya and my poor wife Wendy
who puts up with all thus mess in her house.

Here is a photo display of changing out the entire fuel
delivery system in Crypty:

And here's the best photo of all!!

Dale, you really have got to do something about that garage before Wendy gets back.

And push Pedro back down in the can.

Welcome Amos to the forum in style.

Well done Dale. Your incredible persistence has paid off. I bet you will enjoy the fishing even more knowing that you have a functional TR6 waiting for you in the garage.

Well done Tinster....!!!!!!!!!!
Have you just cleaned the garage floor???
Regards
Craig

Hi There Tinster;

I have to aplaud yourself for your patience & persistance: Cause, If it were me; That car would have been Long Gone!!

Somehow I lost my turn signals and brake lights during
all the other repairs.

Spent a coupla hours this morning with no luck.
4 ways work so it's wiring not bulbs.

I'll pull the seats out and crawl under the dash after while.

d I couldn't resist! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/driving.gif

I hope you didn't buy your boat from Pedro!
If he had, he wouldn't be on this forum anymore! He'd be out somewhere in the middle of the Sargasso Sea gnawing on his own shin bone for sustenance, and all we'd see of poor ol' Dale is his picture on the side of a milk carton!

9.4 miles driven today.
8.1 miles in heavy, stop/go urban traffic;
1.3 miles expressway 50 mph-keeping w/ traffic

Made it home, nothing fell off, blew up, caught fire,
ceased functioning or broke down.

Still can't get the darned turn signals working.

I admit- the entire trip was white knuckles waiting for
something BAD to happen. But it didn't.

Oh yeah it did- a DPO Pedro trick on me. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wall.gif

The primary hood latch would not open the hood.
My back-up TRF emergency latch would not open the hood.

A crowbar worked just fine. Looks like another order
to Moss or TRF for new hood release hardware devices.

Dale:

It sounds like things are coming along nicely.
