Crank pulley socket?

Anyone know where I can get a 1-13/16" socket in 1/2" drive? I can only seem to find it in 1" drive.
This is to fit the crank pulley bolt on the Spit 1500 motor.

"Which you're better off using rather than adapting to 1/2" drive" Whats the matter Andy ain't you got a 1/2" drive Impact wrench?--Keoke- /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Right, off to Sear's then. `

Now, where can I get a pair of them blinkers like they put on a horse to keep him from noticing stuff to the left and right? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif

Sears sells them.

Hmmm... Vicious circle, ain't it? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Don't fight it - it's bigger than ALL of us!

This thread would make a better Sear's commercial than most of the ones they air.

(Except for the one-hour Sear's commercial called "Extreme Makeover - Home Edition".)

Maybe we could get a TV show called "Extreme Makeover - LBC Edition"...it could air 2-3 hours a day during the week, all day Saturday and Sunday, and run for about what...5-10 years?

On this subject......what is the best way to keep the crankshaft from turning when removing the pully nut?

Thanks,

Don

To answer both "Keoke" and "CaptDon01" in one reply....

IMPACT WRENCH? What on earth would I do with one of THOSE? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

As for keeping the crankshaft from turning, I can only speak from Spitfire experience. What I've always done is to put my socket on my 3/4" breaker bar, put the whole thing on the pulley nut...and then hit the starter button. Sure, it sounds painful and damaging, but you can always put a wood block where the bar will otherwise hit the chassis. I've yet to hurt anything, and I've yet to fail to break the nut loose with this admittedly barbaric method!
