Could be last drive.

I thought the TR8 had a circuit built in for seat heaters??

My TR6 has it's own circuit for the seat heaters running from the Classic Fuse Panel that I installed last spring.

Well, I tried to go on one more last drive as it is a glorious day in the great NW.
First clue to leave it in the garage was that the first time I tried to start it it just kept turning over with no sounds of spark. I lifted the hood to be sure I hadn't worked on it and forgot about something.
Va room, started right up.

Ran like poop down the drive and the street. Died around the corner. Started up ,ran for a block and died for good.
Had it towed home. Now that probably explains why I thought it wasn't quite correct the last drive coming down my street.

Pretty sure it is the ECM as it did this the first of the season and was great afterwords when I replaced same. Now I see why the GM guys complain about these ECM's. Very heat sensitive and on that drive to Portland when I over heated the car it probably toasted it.

I'm still hoping for a few more rides in the TR8 before storage in a few weeks.

Then I have to take the TR6 out for a spin as it's been sitting for two months with no movement, but it's staying home for the winter and five projects to be completed.

My TR7's a coupe so I can drive it until there's snow/salt/sand but I've been taking it out only on limited trips around town. The TR6 is in a whole lot of pieces and I'm only crossing my fingers that I'll be able to drive it again next year =D

I've been looking for seat heaters, as I will be putting them in the TR6 when I put it back together but I cant find any good suppliers. Are there any particular seat heaters that people like or would recommend? I'd be putting them in the miata seats going in the TR6.

The seat heater info is on my web page for Miata seats. Running late, back in later.

Dorman makes a universal heater kit #628-040 priced not too bad. check with your local parts house.

Time to come to Cali guys
Tom, I heard it was 103 at disneyland this week. Can that be possible? We've been in the 70-80s up here. Fantastic!

Actually you may want to send the cars to sunny Arizona- its a dry heat... This fall has been different still warm into upper eighties, low nineties even this week. Sunshine, nice breeze, top down motoring... Yes, someone has to do it. By the way I have a protected shed inside the locked gate. I can move the taxi and Deek and have room for several Triumphs. Just send them my way and my wife, son and I will make sure they are driven respectfully throughout the winter.

T.T.

Trevor, that's very kind of you. Kind of like "puppy sitting" for a season.....
