Could be last drive.

I've got the TR6 to play with over the winter, if I get a portable heater for the garage, which won't be bad. I guess I hate to see the snow and ice come more than anything. I can deal with the cold and the TR6 heater is a cook stove, so that's not a problem. The TR8 will be going to storage in about a month.

But I have to tell you that the heater in my car is so good that often even on very cold days I have to cut it way back or off entirely or it roasts me, even with the top down but tonneau cover up on passenger side.

This is a TR3 we're talking about? My 3's heater has the thermal output of mouse farts. I miss my old Datsun 2000 roadster, in that regard. Now there was a heater!

Will you pull the motor and change the lower end?
I said boarding, not a hospital! But shoot, it might be worth it for a season of driving your wedge!

Interesting. I drive mine until the snow flies. Then it is off to slumber land.

No rain or snow mind you, but cold never hurt them as far as I know.

Heck, I replaced the heater valve for just this reason

Randy- This is the great NW. The rains will start any minute now.
I can handle the cold too.

Howdy Folks,

Here in NW SC (Upstate as its better known); Its been in the low 80s & Sunny. The outlook for the wk. is Mid 70s & Sunny. The weather here is just perfect for "Any" outdoor activities. We`re all looking forward to the 1st or 2nd wk. of Nov. for the "Fall Foliage" to take its full bloom. Bikers, Hot Rods, Classic & Vintage Cars are out in full bloom especially over the weekend.

Man; Am I glad I`m out of NE PA!!

Have a Sunny Day,

Russ

To quote Al Sleet: "If ya don't like th' weather.... MOVE!."

Been in the 80s all this week. But daylight savings time is coming so I'll have even less time to play

Took the TR3 out yesterday for what may be the last drive of the year for me also. I did the traditional drive to the farm to get pumpkins that we've been doing with my two sons every year since I got the TR3. One rides with me and the other rides with my wife. We get the pumpkins for the Halloween Jack-O-Lanterns and then they swap and the other boy rides home with me.

Sunset drive, might be the last one. doubt I'll get the hard top finished this year.

You can't see them, but the field is full of Canadian geese.

Did you take that with one of those little spy cameras?

Uh no, I just don't do this often enough to figure it out the first time.

I think that's the first appearance of Jehu on this forum too. It's only been on the road for a couple of months.

Yup, tis the Missus. Loves to ride in the convertable, but likes to be warm in the process. It was a nice day, but it was getting a little chilly.

You need to electrify that passenger seat with the unit Paul put in his 6

Hey Steve... Had my 6 out for a drive this afternoon and as you know the weather was perfect!
What color is your Spit... it's lookin a lot like my color from the pix.

Yup they are very similar, #17 Damson, with a custom interior done in dark brown carpet and a leather color called "Kitt". Which is a very light tan.

Gotta dollar that if we put them side by side there would be a difference. Seems Damson is a name for a range of plum to maroon purples depending on who mixed the paint.

Which just reminded Paul that he has to remove the drivers side console panel and connect the wires for those seat heaters to be working. That was the last item on the list and I had forgotten all about it. the TR8 will be going into storage in a few weeks and I'll be finishing up about six projects on the six over the winter.

Paul, any chance the wires for the seat belt light would work for the heaters, I figure they are to small . In the Wedge I mean.
