Took my 4A to work yesterday for it's last run before hibernation. Too bad I spent half the drive home sitting in traffic.

Hibernation??? What's that???? :nonod: :confuse:

Just ordered new seals for my hard top, getting ready for some nice, coooolllddd winter drives on the Parkway!

Hibernation? Mothballing the car??

Feel free to drive your car in the cold and rain. Mine will be treated to a warm dry garage and me sitting in it once a week while making vroom vroom noises. :yesnod:

I knew there was a good reason I moved from Minnesota to Florida. The 3A stays on the road year long. Any of you guys in the mood for a trip south?

Don,

Sounds like you need to go to the Dark Side,
& buy an MGB GT.

Here in the Shenandoah Valley, normally I can get the car out once or twice a month during the winter (to run it 20 minutes plus to get everything well oiled). Last winter was an exception because of lots of snow. But I have to tell you that the heater in my car is so good that often even on very cold days I have to cut it way back or off entirely or it roasts me, even with the top down but tonneau cover up on passenger side. With the top up and side curtains, it is very cozy in the cab and a joy to drive across snow covered countryside on well plowed and dry roads.

Now your talking Rich

I offer free boarding of british cars! Come leave them in my driveway in sunny california and I'll make sure they go for runs regularly to keep those engines well lubricated!

Will you pull the motor and change the lower end?

Oddly, I was in Bradenton today. Weather was jus' FINE. Shorts 'n flip-flops, workin' on a V-12 Jag.

This talk of storing and not driving is depressing me this year. It never really bothered my much before, but this year it does. Must be old age creeping in.....

I'm putting off storage as long as I can on the TR7, since i wont be able to drive the 6 for a long long time (well that said I'm /hoping/ to have it back together for next year, but that may be being optimistic)

my TR7 is a coupe, and the heat works fine in it... so really I could drive it right up till the first day they put salt down if I want.

43 and dry this morning...ski jacket, headband and gloves for me, the car went topless!

The reward was a BEAUTIFUL 67 and sunny afternoon! :driving:
