Cortina 1500 pulley quandry

Working on a Morgan with a 1500 cortina engine.

Whilst installing the Nippondenso alternator conversion, I noticed the crank pulley and water pump pulley didn't seem right. Sho' nuff, they're off about 1/4". The water pump pulley sticks out too far.

I spoke with the guys at Dave Bean, and they beleive the problem is an incorrect pulley. I could simply press the pulley flange deeper on the shaft, but I'd rather fix it correctly.

Has anyone seen this before? Anyone have a stash of cortina water pump pulleys?

Pulley is 1.325" deep as pictured. Looks like I need one that is 1.500-1.625" deep.

This is for the early water pump (.500" shaft) for those in the know.

To muddy (or clear up) th' water further, Eric, I got curious and checked a pulley from the 1558cc. Lotus T/C... 1.343" (1-11/32")!!!

Now ya know NOT to bother with THAT one.

Just how many diff'rent pulley offsets ARE there?!!?
