Since cooling is a recurrent and much discussed subject, here is the most comprehensive write up I have yet found on the subject. Enjoy. Guy
I would like to see photos of your baffling directing air through your radiator.Over the winter I had my engine completely rebuilt--torn down, hot tanked, etc. I also had installed a new Wizard AL radiator along with baffling directing the air through the radiator and not around it , etc.
Previously my car ran at around 180 and as with most Healeys was very quick to overheat (200+ indicated) in stop and go traffic for anything over 3-4 minutes, even with a Texas-cooler type fan and an auxiliary electric in front of the rad.
Now, even with ambient temperatures of 95 degrees the car runs at around 165 and does not get above 190 in traffic (Temperatures verified).

I'm afraid that unless I removed the grill a photo would not show much but I will give it a try tomorrow.
I'll see if I can get the plans mailed back to me and have them scanned to share them.
Thank you Michael.Patrick--
While I was able to pass the endoscope camera between the grille slats I had no way of controlling it, and in any case I doubt pictures would show you much that would be of help. However, if I am able to recover the patterns I'll certainly scan and post them.

I now have the baffle patterns but they are too large for my home scanner so I will have to take them to Staples for scanning. Is there is a way I can post the scans--or a link to them--whereby people would be able to enlarge the images to 100% scale for patterning?
What about zip file?All--
I had all of the patterns scanned at Staples in full-size so there would be no need to scale them up. They are first=class, showing all dimensions, the lines for the brakes or welds depending upon what material you would want to use, etc.
Because of some of the pieces' dimensions some had to be scanned on a large flat-bed screen resulting in three files, all being too large at 18.5, 23 and 33.4 mb's to post onto the forum according to the message I get when I push "send".
I asked Basil if there was a way I could post them but have not heard back from him, but if anytone has an idea as to how/where the files could be posted I'd be happy to do that.
You might be able to add them to the "Media" section.All--

I canāt open the attachments on my iPad so Iāll try on my PC ext.Patrick--
Please find three files attached. For whatever reason I was not able to get them into zip format but I believe the files are now compressed without the scale having been affected, so that they show the original full size of all of the panels.
The person at Staples said that because several of the pieces were too big to scan on a letter-size scanner and required a larger scanner they would have to be, in turn, printed on one of their larger printers.
I hope this is of help and if not perhaps there is another resource.
