Cool Picture thread

Todays pics - first one none Spridget though MG. Can't imagine doing this today even with my shoes off. I wonder why so many clustered? Love the second one too.

Local dinner where we cruised as kids.
Lousy phone pics.
Cup reads "Burning rubber not burgers since..."
The big Healey is on an outside wall mural.

This is just down the road from me. Cool!

Hay, I did that same thing to a BE finder in Hawaii back about 1964. Cost 32 bucks to have it fixed, LOL.

I think in the mid 60's Shelby had a school of high performance driving...now its Bob Bondurant's. That explains the van...not sure about the bug eye though

The Bugeye was one Shelby's driving school training cars, you started with the BE and worked your way up to a Cobra.

so kind of a Cobra with training wheels. I guess if they had had Cobra pedal cars they wouldn't need bugeyes. :cryin:

I've seen more than a few Cobra owners vin racing the snake that should of taken their namesakes driving school advice and worked forward from a BE.

Up to Page 99 - these all from the wall of a carpet store. Store belonged to the father of the person posting. These pics of people driving their carpet home. The last one is actually my favourite (not all Spridgets this time) can you imagine this happening now?

And now I know why they put that wing on the Daytona!

Haven't seen any of "ours" for a few days - then this. Would love to know the back story.

Haha, I had a wife that looked like that. Those dues take you back.

Look at those clean wheels.

Had? does she read this board Jack?

After living with me for 53 years she no longer looks like that. Suppose a restoration would work.

course I am a bit worn out as well.

Jack,

Can you say that to her?
In my eyes,my Wife is still the 18 year old that I
married back in 1978 - but I'm not the same person
that she married.

They really never grow old. I wonder sometimes how mine continues to put up with someone twice her age even though she was born two months before I was!

Yep, still the 19 year old. However, much more experience. LOL Did you also have to get her folks permission in writing to marry?

I'm not sure I would have gotten it in writing . My mother in law asked my wife all the way down the aisle if she really wanted to do this. That was 36 years ago.
