I have been busted. Paul R. while evidently browsing other manufacturer's forums, caught me red handed with an (oh say it ain't so) MGB.
Now in mitigation this MG is actually for my wife to drive and me to build and play with. She likes the rounded curves of the MGB. What can I say, I tried to get her interested in a 68 Spitfire I found, but no go.

So this has of course impacted my getting the TR6 back on the road.
I have been making some progress. I had all the rust cut out and new metal welded in on the rockers and such. I finished the sound proofing I was doing and installed the plastic barrier's. Here's a link to some of this.

I have also painted the inside of all the fenders with epoxy primer and a coat of chip guard paint.
The fenders are all now installed and the new carpet is in, the new hard top is on. I was finishing the Miata seat installation with the new in-head rest speakers when I had to travel. So about all I have left to do it bolt the seats in place, mount the front bumper and install the tail lights.
I also need to paint the undercoat on the fender wells and the lower rockers and install the lower chrome strip.
Then I will work on the wife's MG. Oh yeah did I mention I am going to put up a new shop this summer. Seems the wife got tired of her car sitting out in the cold and has agreed to build the shop. Oh boy, 36 by 24 feet of dedicated work space.
I can't wait. I will have to do a lot of the work to be able to afford it but after 2 houses that's not so scary.

Miata seats, new garage. Been awhile since we saw each other I guess.

Don
Still have to build the garage, just getting the permit in place now.

I hope Paul grounded you for the crossing boundary lines!
Where did you get the seats. I have been in written conversation with a small business in S. CA. on some

There's a fella on Canyon Rd, that has a Miata and RX7 race car and service business. Jeff something. I bought them from him.
I know someone at Boeing that has a set that he would sell. Or so stated the last time I spoke with him.

If there the ones with the speakers I might be interested.

No matter how big you build it, be prepared to realize that it will be too small. I'm adding an "annex" to my barn/shop this spring. It sure was big when I built it but ... well, you know, size matters. I'm always envious of the guys with warehouse sized garages but then heating a beast is a problem up here.

I'd love to help you build it but the commute would be kind of long.

Nothing wrong with rounded curves. If it can get her more involved with your hobby, all the better for both of you.

Yep, nothing wrong at all with rounded curves - wait, are we still talking about cars?

Let this be a lesson to us all. Buy her a car and
you get a garage???

Sweetheart, I saw this cutest little car in the
paper the other day, and..........

<Sits in the corner grumbling to himself about d*mn city inspectors and incompetent garage contractors and silently cries as he dreams of the garage that SHOULD have been built by now!!> Maybe THIS summer???
