coil low tension wire?

I forgot to take a photo. Can anyone believe it?

I'm having ignition problems and getting ready to try my
forth coil and it hits me I don't have a photo of the two terminals wired.

I have the PowerBlock wire harness.

One coil terminal- low tension wire to the dizzy
The other terminal goes to my starter(red battery post).

The low tension coil terminal is the positive
or the negative terminal?

Can't believe I forgot to take a photo.

Negative would go to the distributor, and Positive would go to switched power (not actually directly to the battery, unless you're only doing that to test).

I'm now two steps closer to getting my car operational.
I also bought another set of spark plug wires today with
the latest coil.

I was able to get a test spark from the coil, thru the main
coil wire to arc against a ground. My dizzy is almost new,
my condenser and dizzy cap new; so that leaves installing
new points.

I bought anothr set of new plugs but hve yet to gap them.

Seems like an awful lot of elecrical problems when all I did was
replace the rocker arm shaft. With battery disconnected and spark
plug wires removed. Ha, Ha,--it's a TR6, what can I say?

This is a picture of mine. As you can see the striped wire on the right (negative) goes directly to the distributor. The dual wire on the left (positive) comes from the ignition power side through the harness that also leads to the alternator. This is one branch of it. The little blue guy on the block is a noise suppressor for the radio. Not that I ever use that at all.

Where did you pick-up the noise suppressor? Any info is appreciated. Thanks.
 
It was my original. They are getting hard to find if you want that little blue job.

Actually Elliot, if you just want a functional noise suppressor, rather than the blue dot special, I think that Radio Shack can hook you up. You may even be able to get a similar size and style and paint it to look original.
 
I was into my local radio shack a few months ago and they were no help. If there are any specs printed on the suppressor that you could PM me with that would be appreciated. Thanks!

Dale,
I suspect that the electrical problem has very little to do with the rocker arm. Most likely you unintentionally loosened some connection. Brushed up against it etc.... 9 times out of 10 that is what happens.
Of course finding the little bugger is a pain.
