Just completed rebuild with Moss kit. have not re-installed yet. When I push the piston in ,it does not return. Is this because there is no fluid in the cylinder or do I have a problem?

maybe a stupid question, but did you remember to put the spring back in there? When I rebuilt mine, I made sure there was lots of brake fluid in there when I put the seal back, and it would return, not with any great force, but it would bring itself back out.

Definitely should have a spring & come back out a little.
Other than the nut & washer in the middle this is the way it came out. The nut & washer are for the hose to body.
