I'd like drivers' licenses to be more like pilot licenses to obtain. Not quite to that degree, but close. Physicals every couple of years, complete examinagion of the cars each year, logbooks kept of all maintenance, which must be done by certified mechanics, recurrency training every two years, etc. Maybe this needs to be a thread of its own.
