Check out my 58 Wagon...Purists be warned!!

Wow....
I'm really impressed with the fabrication design and quality; question, I'm curious how you decided and controlled where the tops of those struts should be to get the right castor, camber and handling?

Trick 6- The nissan diff will definitely take the punishment. It's from a q45, and i know guys who are making 9 second passes on them. I'm pretty sure this thing will never see a launch that hard (i say that now! tee hee)

Altaknight - I'm not sure what Dan (my fabricator) used to determine that. I know it was based on ride height ans suspension travel needs, as well as having room to work around for all the steering and exhaust. The camber and castor are all adjustable.

Maybe about a foot? The seat back is about 6 inches behind the b pillar.

Re: More pics!!

Man, that is really a fine looking job and I don't think you'll need foot warmers in cold weather either.
What's the dogs name? Looks like a 'Buster' to me.

Re: More pics!!

HeHe, looks like fun!

Re: More pics!!

This is an incredible project! Any updates?

Re: More pics!!

IT's been WAAAAAY too long since i updated, mainly because progress has been a little slower than i'd like.

The firewall and floors are almost done. It should be back in my hands by the end of next week, at which point i'll begin expoxy coating the roll cage/chassis, swapping out the cam/valve springs, having new steering knuckles CNC machined, wiring the chassis, shortening the rear axles, and having the driveshaft made. I will also start experimenting with the carbon fiber this week for the hood/fenders...

Re: More pics!!

Too cool! Thanks for the update! Keep'em coming!

WOW has it been a while since i updated on here.

Progress has been slower than i would like but it's coming along nicely.

The entire drivetrain is in, custom axles, driveshaft, etc etc.

Have upgraded the stock front cressida brakes to nissan 300zx twin turbo units. 4 piston vs 1. Ohhh yeah!

I ran into a snag with the cooling system. The way the chassis guy mounted the raditor, there was no room for a fan (pull or push). SORRY FOR THE BIG PICS.

Without radiator:

The end result is an expensive and custom remote water pump system. Waiting on all my parts to arrive this week.

I got the entire chassis/firewall coated. I used a roll on 2 part epoxy bedliner. It turned out pretty well.

I had the exhaust headers and mufflers ceramic coated and polished.

The aforementioned driveshaft (aluminum), 26.5" long:

I have a TON more pics that aren't uplaoded yet. Most of these are from my camera phone.

I should have wiring finished this weekend. I'm picking up a 4x8 sheet of lexan today to cut all my windows and whatnot.

I'll keep you updated

Still... too cool!
