Can 2/3 to 3/4 quart low on trans fluid cause the over drive to cut in and out under acceleration?
I checked and found I was low yesterday, filled it and went for a drive. Surprise, when you check and maintain the fluid level how good the car works.
Before I filled the trans the car was hard to shift into 3 and 4 sometimes. And under acceleration it felt like the overdrive was trying to shift into and out of gear without turning it on. I thought the clutch was slipping.
The car ran so good yesterday I wounder if low fluid could cause all that? Or is it just that the car always drives better in cold weather.
Thanks for your thoughts
