Carpet Fitting

I bought a new carpet set for my Tr3 last December off Ebay. It has been stored in the box since then and has some bad winkles where it was folded. Does anyone here know I good way to get them out so it will lay flat.
Thanks
Greg

If you have a sunny day and the carpet is black you may find that a few hours sunbathing (the carpet not you) will help. Much of this may resolve itself once the carpet is in place.

Try hitting it with high steam from a steam iron. Depending on the material, you might want to avoid contact with the hot iron as same materials may melt. So use an old sheet or similar between the two.

If you can hang it a fabric steamer would help.

If you don't have a steamer or high powered steam iron, take them to the dry cleaners and get them to steam the wrinkles out.

I had similar problems with a carpet set that has been in the box for many years. Just laying it flat on the floor for a week or so made a world of difference.

I have one of them new fangled dryers that has a drying rack inside of it....not sure if you have one. I find a light misting with water sprayed from a spray bottle and the dryer on hi heat works well.
