Car Trailer

I'm surprised that no one has yet discussed ground clearance issues in getting their Healeys aboard their trailers.

I had a 20' box trailer that I used for hauling my race cars to and from events but one or two times I loaded my Healey aboard. Even with my having 4"-4.5" of ground clearance at the "knuckle" where the exhaust pipe turns up and in in front of the rear wheel I had to either elevate the nose of the trailer to the jack's maximum or put a board or two under the rear left wheel as it transitioned into the trailer. The ability to bring a car in slowly and in small increments is another reason for having a winch do the hauing versus driving the car into the trailer.

I imagine this string will eventually morph into tow vehicle recommendations....
