Car Diagnositc Tools

Can recommend me a good car diagnostic tool, that could be used for a range of cars? Any other diagnostic suggestions would be welcome

what are you trying to diagnose? Old car new car? Electrics? Timing?

While I would one day love an old engine diagnosis machine but can diagnose 90% of what is wrong with a timing gun, a multimeter, a light bulb with alligator clips, etc. etc.

If I were to add to my diagnostic kit right now, it would be a code reader for my newer cars.

The diagnostic section of an old Motors Manual will have most of the info needed for most of our older cars.

All that and a vacuum gauge. I doubt we'll hear from him again. :hammer: :jester:
