I would have no qualms with driving my fifty-five year old Cadillac across the country tomorrow. Despite the difference in gas mileage, I would find it a much more pleasant experience than driving something new.

It had a standard 3 on the tree transmission, Tom. I really liked the car but it didn't have power steering or air either, bought it from a Navy LT.Paul - you had a 1950 Studebaker Commander coupe! What a great looking car.
