Is there a way to reattach the cable to the capillary tube. This is the sending unit out of a 1098 spridget. Screws into the head for temperature.

Yes, the gauge can be repaired. However, the tube and sensor are filled with ether and your's is gone. The solution is to buy a cheap water temp gauge at one of the big box auto parts store and use the new sensor and ether in a repair of your gauge. Do a search on Google for "1933 Plymouth temperature gauge repair" and you will find a website with complete instructions for doing this repair.
