Thanks everyone for your help and ideas. We had our national night out tuesday, where all the neighbors leave their homes, abandoned, at night, while the local police drop by, also to visit. Its kinda like a block party thats sponsored because by knowing each other, youre able to know what suspicious activity is going on, report it, or are able to contact that neighbor who's "guest" showed up while theyre gone. Personally, I think its the best time in the world to loot all the houses, especially since so many leave the garage door open =)
Our neighborhood never had one before, as without an HOA, whos going to organize it, and pay for the free food, drinks, and bounce houses? We pretty much just stuck to talking with people we sorta already new on our street. Everyone pretty much is ok with what we do, and love checking up on us for updates. But we do have a new neighbor. Shes the 4th lot down, so I cant see how that could be too loud. But there are a few other possibilities:
Theres this one family two houses over, who might, but their adult kids are the ones with the fart cannons also always working on their cars. Plus the step dad has borrowed stuff from us.
There is the people next door however. They spend half an hour loading and unloading their minivan. I make sure to stop when they are outside, but I wonder if it bothers their tv listening, as I can hear their TV sometimes while in the driveway. But theyve given us free food when we never even spoken before, and we kinda broke into their house once. With their permission of course =) They got locked out, and they had a baby still inside. I dont think theyd want to [censored] people like us off. =) Plus, I think they moved here from an oppressive environment (korea) so I dont think they want to recreate it.
Then theres the house on the very end (two houses down). Theyre always having annoying garage sales every month. But we had a car cover blow off once, and they kept it until they were able to give it back. That was nice of them. I was scared it may have blown onto the busy street, hitting and blinding a 50mph vehicle.
There is one lady who is heavily into town/community crap. She lives 3 houses down. She came over to talk to me when my husband was painting someone elses car. She asked us if he did this for a living. I was scared and told her no, making sure she knew we werent running a business like that out of our home, but turns out, she just wanted her husband 79 trans am painted =)
So its either the new neighbor or the owners of this one vacant lot. The lot is pretty far, not in site. I think the new neighbor is actually closer to it than they are to me. Its technically even on a different street. But I suspected it since its directly in front of the neighbor who previously got harassed. My guess is, whoever bought the land, realized the lots too small (the town actually has a size minimum on new housing!) and is trying to sell it

Maybe we should all hop on SW Air and help them finish that car real quickly.
No, their hub is in Love Field. Thats a nightmare. Take american airlines. DFW airport is just 10 minutes down the road =)

Maybe we get all the pilots on the BCF together in Dallas and do a "pee-bomb" run on the offending neighbor
Doc- Want to be Bombardier?
Thats too risky.
1) being so close, the pilots are too busy preparing for landing.
2) depending on which way the wind is blowing, they may not fly over my street at all.
3) considering the speed, wind, and other factors, they could miss the target entirely, and hit my GT6 or other property instead.
But thanks for suggesting it =)

I live in Texas, and registered my Europa before it had its state inspection. I do not think it's a prerequisite.
Was your europa ever registered in the state of TX before? I have also registered cars without inspection, but they all were texas cars. Also, not sure if it matters, but they kept talking about how its an emissions county (wasnt until everyone started moving here), which made no sense to me at all. But I questioned them several times thinking that since the car is 43 years old, it should be exempt, and they kept telling me that it was because it was an out of state car
Besides, I just got a letter back from them. They rejected my new title request. Turns out they didnt charge me $7 for purchasing the car in 2009. They assumed I purchased it in 2010. I called and waited on hold for a while in hopes that I wouldnt have to drive all the way back. If I could just mail them a check, or visit a closer office, but no luck. I had to drive all the way back. Thankfully there was no line this time. Turns out, they close at 4:30pm, and I had gotten there at 4:15. So no wonder these places are so busy in the morning and during lunch break! I also managed to get the same girl who messed this up the first time.

I ended up renting part of an airplane hanger to avoid the neighbors getting bent out of shape, not sure how applicable that is, but man is it nice to have.
We have actually considered that, but it was too expensive, even if we found someone else to share it with.

What you really need is to live around cops. I think I have 3 within a couple houses. They never say a word and never complain. Why?
Because they are always doing things they shouldn't.
We actually do have a cop 3 lots down across the street. Well, everyone says hes a cop, and he technically is. Hes a cop for the university. So his jurisdiction is pretty small, and far away.
And actually, our street lies in the middle of 3 different police beats which intersect. I agree with their speeding enforcement, but my husband once got pulled over in a go cart. He actually wanted to see his license! I knew it wasnt street legal and told him not to go past our street. But does anyone ever listen to their wives?!? Thankfully no ticket was issued. It just stinks because after restoring it, he could no longer play with it again. (oh, and BTW, its not equipped to go off road)
