Mark, I've been on the hunt for awhile looking at MGBs, Bugeyes,TR4 and 4As, TR3s, etc. My practicle side says get a semi modern car, but I've always wanted a Bugeye! I've gone thru the TR3, 4A, and 6 when I was in my teens and 20s and I must have forgotten a lot of the pain...I only remember the good times. The various cars I've linked here don't quite add up to the asking price after everyone gets thru and solid cars are hard to find, so 'passing muster' is a term that is relative to me and my skills or lack thereof! Just like everyone else, I would like to find the rust free, all original, whatever floats my boat, LBC...for $500.00, but it ain't gonna happen. Instead, I plod on hoping to find a decent car that won't kill me...an LBC that I can work on myself, enjoy, and get satisfaction out of restoring. The Bugeye in Knoxville is a '59, white/red with minor damage that looks like I can do something with. It's owned by a fellow named Jerry that is selling off his cars, one by one, and if this car is ok and I can get a decent price, I'm gonna buy it. Then I gonna shine it up, get it running, and drive around like a kid again! Sorry for getting so long winded, but I lack faith in my abilities to judge these things and their value. Ray, I'll send you the contact info and you can let me know if it's close enough to run by. Thanks for everyones help and I hope this one works out! Rut
